My Favorite Stock Pot
This Swiss Diamond 8.5 quart nonstick stockpot is my most recent addition to my cooking collection which also includes stockpots from Le Creuset, All Clad and Paul Revere. I've owned the Swiss Diamond for about 2 years and by far, it is my favorite one to use. It is surprisingly lightweight. I don't seem to get burnt food spots on the bottom of the pot when I cook stews or chili. After some initial hesitation, I now have no reservations using metal stirring utensils with this stockpot. I have no regrets with this wonderful pot.
The Swiss Diamond nonstick stock pot has a large capacity for family meals. The pot is only 28 cm (11”) in diameter, making it easy to fit next to other pots and pans on the stovetop, but its 24 cm (10”) cooking depth gives it a healthy 8 liter (8.5 qt) capacity. The sturdy tempered-glass lid has an adjustable steam vent. The included tempered glass lid allows you to monitor food without lifting the cover, maintaining flavor and keeping food from drying out. Excellent Stockpot
Bought this stockpot to replace a 1995 Faberware Millenium one.
This stockpot is, by far, much better quality than Faberware
Millenium model was when new.
I would buy more Swiss Diamond pieces as needed.
Perfect
As long as you don't take their advice (that you can use metal utensils), the Swiss Diamond line is the finest cookware available today. Just the right weight, cool handles, totally flat bottoms, oven-safe, nonstick inside and out, really fine pots and pans. Just get yourself a set of silicone spoons and whisks (and be sure they have silicone handles too, not metal handles that you'll bump against the edges of the pots). Oh, and avoid their "wok"...its bottom is too small to get hot enough. Instead, stir-fry in the 8 1/2 Quart Stockpot. It's also good for cooking pasta, stocks, stews and so on.
