Sitram Catering 11.1-Quart Commercial Stainless Steel Stockpot
Best Item From Sitram
Quality Copper Bottom
What I like most about this pot is that it has a copper bottom, sandwiched between two other layers of metal. I think that copper is the BEST metal for even heat distribution. Also, I like that it's a big pot that doesn't have a huge base that would overwelm the stovetop. (The diameter and height are each 9 inches.)
Sitram Sitram France has produced professional grade cookware for over 40 years. It is favored by many of the world's top executive chefs and restaurants. We're glad to have Sitram available in the U.S. Why do so many professionals around the world favor Sitram cookware? Sitram cookware is made in France, designed for commercial use. The factory is fully aware of the highest expectations that executive chefs place in their equipment, and continuously works with them to provide nothing but the best. Why would you want professional cookware? Oh, where do we start! How about "these pots and pans are virtually indestructible as well as dishwasher safe"? There's more: To pour drip-free, simply push the lever. Releasing the lever re-seals it...

great pot
I have used this pot several times in the short time I've owned it. I like the fact that it doesn't take up a lot of space on my stove and the heavy bottom prevents scorching.
Superb Quality
This is a fantastic stockpot, as good as it gets. Yes, it's expensive, but if you can afford it, it's definitely worth it. I have several Sitram Catering pots that I bought in the '90s that I still use all the time. I also have several All-Clad stainless steel pots and use them frequently as well. Because I'm familiar with both and cook a lot, I feel confident to say that the Sitram Catering pots (which I believe are also called Frieling since Frieling now manufactures some or all of them) are superior by far. All-Clad are good pots, but Sitram Catering are superb. They're very heavy in weight, so if you have a problem with that, you might prefer All-Clad, which are significantly lighter.
